Jake "Smooth" McDonough is an an artist, music producer, DJ and audio engineer who got his start early at the age of 14 in the suburban town of Westford, Massachusetts. Since birth, Smooth had been influenced by music of all genre's, as his friends and relatives were into a wide range of artists and groups, however upon hearing "The Real Slim Shady" for the first time, he was immediately infatuated with this new fast paced, aggressive style of sound. Smooth's discovery of his first DAW, Logic Pro, was the first big step in his now life long adventure in producing music for the world around him. Finally, he could replicate the sounds of his favorite genres, at the time being both hip-hop and EDM. Throughout his adolescence and into adulthood, Smooth has practiced his craft day in and day out, constantly experimenting and perfecting the structure and quality of the music that he makes, as he someday hopes to make others as excited when listening to his music as he is about creating it. Smooth believes that alongside eating, sleeping and staying hydrated, that music is one of the most essential pieces to survival, so in creating what he does, he always wants his listeners to be immersed in the atmosphere that he works to create.
