Color Blindness Test

New South Wales Back to profile

Who I am

A color blindness test, also known as a color vision test, is a method used to assess a person's ability to perceive and distinguish different colors accurately. It is often used to diagnose various types and degrees of color vision deficiency or color blindness. The most commonly used color blindness test is the Ishihara test, which consists of a series of plates containing colored dots or numbers. People with normal color vision can easily identify the numbers or patterns embedded in the plates, whereas individuals with color vision deficiencies may have difficulty or completely fail to recognize them. It's important to note that online color vision tests or self-administered tests may provide some insights into potential color vision deficiencies, but they are not a substitute for a comprehensive evaluation by a qualified eye care professional.
