H.Kal-El, hailing from Champaign, Illinois, is a well-rounded individual with a passion for music and design. He learned to play the drums and piano at a young age, under the guidance of church mentors. Despite not growing up surrounded by hip hop music, rap music had a profound impact on him in middle school and he began experimenting with freestyling and recording on cassette players. As he progressed through high school, he became increasingly involved in the hip hop scene, participating in battles, recording songs, and producing for JEFF K%NZ. His collaboration with Jay Moses, which began as rivals in high school, resulted in numerous successful mixtape productions over the years. It was during this time that he developed a passion for the digital arts and taught himself the necessary skills to form the foundation of what is now known as TheGr8Thinkaz.
