Formally known as “Khuz Beatz” and “Product In The Making” Product, a native of Stone Mountain, GA, started producing music in 2004. Experimenting with a friend’s home music software one day after school, he quickly became interested in making beats and learning how to mix songs. Moreover, he immediately realized that music production was not only fun, but with a dedicated and focused work ethic, he could do amazing things with his new interest.
Product had thus set out to teach himself to produce all genres of music and, with time, he merged his God given talent for music with his dynamic tenacity to develop and acquire new skills to create a whole new, unique sound. As he describes, “I would listen to Lil John, Pastor Troy, Crime Mob, and Lil Scrappy and try to incorporate their elements of their artistic style into my projects”. It is no wonder that Product birthed a new genre, “OGPL” or “On Go Party Lifestyle” which is described as “always moving for a purpose” invoking feelings in the listener to “make something out of nothing” and requesting them to “Party (because) it’s a Lifestyle”. When asked how he maintains his sense of purpose and grind, he states, “I never try to compare myself to others”...“I just remain patient and take my time and dedication seriously”. Product’s dedication can be evidenced by his catalog of countless songs and the birth of his creative brainchild, the “OGPL” genre.
In 2014-2015, to further his professional growth, he attended the SAE Institute in Atlanta, Ga where he studied audio engineering, music production, and music business. During his time as SAE, Product was elected Class Rep. and earn Valedictorian. Product produces tracks and beats alike, mixes music, engineers recording sessions, synchronizes sound to picture, and can perform various audio editing techniques.
Product, can be found forever working and spending eighty- plus hours per week working on school-related, personal, and business related projects. He encourages all DIY artists, musicians, and producers to “Just do it! There are a lot of people trying to do the same thing you are. So, you gotta work hard and remember that there are people out there working twelve hours on a song; you should be doing fifteen hours or even more.”
